Incidentally, while this interview took place the tour manager had a blow-up and left the tour unexpectedly. Apparently this was filmed and I have no idea why it didn't show up in the footage. Damn shame.

Dan & Pip need to have a little 10 minute web show. A comedy about the struggles of a British hip hop group in the States. They're gold.

That's definitely understandable. Typically, I'm not into this kind of music. I am into this project though. When I showed Bernard he agreed with me. That's all I needed to move forward. I think they are the most polarizing group on SFR. It really does seem like people either love them or hate them. The fans on their myspace page are ravenous. The fans at their shows acted like they were superstars. It's pretty bizarre.

That is a great way to explain it. When I saw them live, I hadn't yet been sold on them. In fact, seeing how well they did live and how devoted the fans were, it brought me into their world a bit better. Despite being easily classified as weird or off beat, the group has something friendly and professionally entertaining about them. I dig it. If you can't get into them, it really would have been worth checking them out live during the tour.
