my first impressions of this lot weren't good, wasn't really feelin the thou shall not track and i'll be honest, i saw em with el-p and didn't think much.... kinda (ignorantly after only hearing one track) assumed they were on some nathan barley type shit.

i heard the record now and i can admit when im wrong, and ahhhhh shit... i was. I went into listening to that album with a "this is gona prolly suck" mindset and now i'm loving it and wana check em out live again....now i know the tunes. some serriously catchy shit on there, these two have skills. i have major egg on my face, fuck it... wipes off init.

look for the woman video is great, beat that my heart skipped is my fav tune on there atm

t'aint the first time i've been in complete agreement with you mate: really couldn't see the appeal of thou shalt always kill – thought it was clever but not exactly great. then yeh, i saw them at el-p too and thought they were average as you like... but then it was a support slot and to be honest i wasn't really paying much attention.
anyways, after the big announcement i thought fuck it, probs best to check the album out and it is proper. beat that my heart skipped, tommy c, and waiting for the beat to kick in are all great, but look for the woman is def my shit. kinda funny that i'm in a situation with a girl that's the exact opposite of the chorus at the moment: like her too much to leave don't love her enough to stay.
apparently their live game's really been stepped up too - their latest batch of shows in the uk were presented as a motivational speaking seminar with songs and that.

Is there going to be a thread announcing the tour dates for B and these english gents eventually? I know there's some dates on B's myspace--are those finalized? Will there be anything added?

Gracias

I might try to road trip to that Ames, Iowa show. It's only 6 hours from here. If I can jigger my days off at work, I can make a weekend of it. Plus it'd give me an excuse to leave my house.

t-shirts have been printed and they'll be available on the site any time now.

Kese thinks they're the best shirts we've done yet. I think they look mighty fine.

Got the UK version of this today, it's a really good album, a lot of great songs, "Angles" really stood out for me for it's story telling as well as the singles.

Really recommend it and look forward to hearing the SFR version only track.
