Back right before WWII, the nazis did a ton of crazy experiments... one of their projects was using dolphins as blades for their secret underwater helicopter.

read Illuminatus! lots of fun dolphin stuff in there

also, i was having a discussion with the teacher that sits next to me and he asked me if i had ever eaten dolphin...i was like whoa, i kinda have a problem eating sentient beings dude, then he explained that in certain parts of japan it was pretty common, where his brother lives its really cheap to buy it in the supermarket, but he said its really rubbery and didn't taste very good

so i was a little disturbed
but so much for "dolphin safe" eh?

c

ps- oh yeah, whale is tasty

i don't know about any underwater helicopter but, they did parachute them out of airplanes with bombs strapped to them. some were trained to deposit bombs, others were kamikazee.
