Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson  Reply with quote

the Beatles of cartoon comics.

which comic do you think even tests the consistency of humor and wit of Calvin and Hobbes? Not to mention longevity.

The Far Side is the only one that might come close. But it doesn't test. Reading back on both, I get more consistent laughs from Calvin and Hobbes.

Prove me wrong, bits.

I used to read these Bloom County comic books....I don't know that I fully understood them at the time, but I really liked them. http://www.premier.net/~cspedale/opus/images/bill2.jpg

Family Circus was so mine!

Seriously though, Far Side is the only one on par however, Doonsbury was pretty funny.

no, no, no...I give respect to Charlie Brown for being a good man.

and for the history.

But it is NOT testing Calvin and Hobbes in terms of humour and content quality.

At all.

I respect the architect...but there's improvement on the design.
