| Baltimore cancelled. BOSTON better represent TONIGHT (11/1) |
|
|
Typically a strong market for me, Baltimore has cancelled yet again. So I will not be performing there on Nov 4th.
Tonight I am co-headlining a show with Buck 65 at the Middle East (downstrairs) in Cambridge, MA
$10
the line up is as follows:
Buck 65 with DJ Skratch Bastid
Sage Francis (backed by Alias, Tom Inhaler and Dilly Dilly)
Bernard Dolan
Prolyphic
Jared Paul
HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!! |

so the whole show is canceled?
that's a big surprise. i've always been under the impression that sonar runs a pretty solid business (unlike the gorilla union bs that caused the pier 6 show to be canceled). |

yes you will be!!!
oh man. not to geek out, but the turntable trickery that mr. bastid has come up with for the new songs on "Situation" is fucking amazing. it really helps the songs come to life. very impressive sir, indeed. |

Man twice in one year a baltimore show w/ Sage cancelled.
Lyric's Born website says it is postponed but I doubt the event w/ Sage is going to materialize now.
Looks like the ottobar is the only place in the city to trust for the shows to actually happen... |

poetry, energy, dancing hips, and mullets? how can you go wrong?
this show was more than worth the fact that i could barely get up this morning for work. it was an all around good time and every one appeared to be enjoying themselves a great deal. i like the way that skratch bastid smirks and smiles when he's rippin it up. "i know i'm dope, so have some fun with me." he and buck did a great job playing with the crowd. "let's just dance for a minute."
i had never met bomzo nor seen prolyphic, and i'm happy i was able to experience both. i haven't had a chance to listen to your cd, dolan, but i obviously picked it up.
i brought a friend with me who came to the htdd tour, but last night you guys really pulled him in. he said it was his favorite sage set (we love this back up trio), and that the fact he wasn't headlining was a nice touch because there was more music to come. his final remarks? "i clearly need to go to more hip hop shows." |

It's weird because I had that same sort of thought the other night. Not sure what exactly was the diffrence. But I thought that set was fantastic and one of the more enjoyable ones I've seen Sage do in awhile. Maybe it's because everyone is not quite as fatigued anymore and the chemistry was betterable to shine. But I thought there was some really great chemistry there between everyone, and they all seemed to be enjoying themselves. It had a very Beatles playing on the roof kind of looseness. |

What a show. Sage once again killed it, I really wish this wasnt going to be his last tour but i guess all good things must come to an end. Good to see Buck pulling out an old favorite for the encore. The new stuff sounds great too. I think Scratch Bastid got the biggest cheer of the night after his solo, and with good reason. Bernard and Jared, damn these guys know how to control a crowd. This was my first time seeing Prolyphic, i was impressed and damn reanimator can make a beat. Great night, great show. |
