Cadence Weapon is the first rapping guest on a Buck 65 album since M88Kenzie and Jay Oh Smooth on Boogie'n'Frenzy and Shout It Out (respectively) from the first and second tapes (respectively) of Weirdo Magnet.

And before that there weren't any at all.

This is kind of a big deal. And fuck the track is def.

I love Rollie. This is incredible. I remember when we used to talk about Buck65 on Xanga back in like 2000, and now he's all growed up and rapping with Buck.

He writes at least sometimes for Vue Weekly here in Edmonton... it doesn't seem like he has a regular weekly feature, though.

And he wrote for Stylus for a bit after that ...

I miss his stuff. For a guy writing about rap (or anything) on pitchfork, he had the astonishing effect of not making me want to vomit into my keyboard.

If its the same one that comes with the preorder i would recommend watching it before playing the album. Without saying too much its a little history lesson into the year 1957 narrated by buck.

It's weird that everything Rollie P. ever does will be tagged with "and he [over]wrote rap reviews for Pitchfork when he was like 18!"
Which is too bad, he's also the guy who made that "Black Hand" song, which is fucking tight.
