Hey Sage this might cheer you up, on CBC news in Canada they reported over 200,000 protesters in Washington and over 10,000 in Toronto.

Also that site with the pics was amazing, thanks for posting that.

I'm glad to hear that there are Americans who stand up against their goverment and show their dissgust of the current policy!

Things like this slowly break down my anti american point of view, it just showes that there are still people who care out there, thanks!

Peace,

Max

"We have always been at war with Oceania "

Awesome.

I'm sorry I missed this one but I'll be sure to hit the one in Feb.

These roadtrips from RI cost anything, Sage?
If so I'll start saving now. >;}

the san francisco one was off the heez. WAY more people than at the october one, and there were a fucking lot that time. last time the marching was pretty much done by 2pm, this time the sea of people had not slowed down at all by that time. last time the street was full but the sidewalks were fairly still; on saturday the sidewalks were moving the whole time and there were were many places where the street was completely clogged and the only place you could move at all was on the sidewalks. we went to dinner with my friend's parents later, who had gone to vietnam marches etc back in the day and they couldn't stop talking about how positive the whole thing was, and how everyone seemed to just be there with a good attitude, plenty pissed off but having a great time with each other etc.. they were very surprised and impressed. pretty heartening especially when you consider that there were NO protests about vietnam until several years in. despite the media's distortion and the government's indifference, it seems like a good sign that this much is going on before the shit even officially starts.

yeah it sounds like an exaggeration. 200-300 would not surprise me though. The march was 2.2 miles long, on four lanes on road (and sidewalks) and apparently when the beginning of the march had reached the end, people were still leaving the starting point.... so it was really really long.

I thought 500,000 was including the people who were at the San Fran. protest, and it was really about 250k each.
