Democracy = repression of the minority  Reply with quote

Ok, i just got home, it's 4 am, this shit hit me while i was taking a piss. This has been one of those thoughts that circuled around my head for years, subconsciously, without being properly processed or formulated. Today it came to me. Democracy means that 51 people can tell 49 exactly what to do, what that is legal and what is not. In the best case scenario. In the States it seems to be the other way around, 49 telling 51 what to do. Anyways. Democracy has the same principals as utilitarianism. And utilitarianists got shitted on. Fuck it.

We need a new form of government. Question is: which?

Give me some ideas. Dictatorships are valid suggestions if you include whoever you would want to rule the state. Go ahead. Awaken my hope.

There will never be a fair system of government. We are humans. We will mess up regardless of what system is in place.

Communism would work if each and every individual embraced and loved the system and understood it fully. One rotten apple would ruin the whole damn thing, one greedy fuck. Thats all it would take. Or maybe more, what do i know, really.

Your free will can put you in prison in a democracy. For instance: You are being blunted in Michigan. The majority think being blunted is bad for you. They decide what is bad and good... for you. Even though you're a grown up person with an intelligence of your own. Being blunted doesnt affect anybody but you. But they can tell you what to do and what not to do. Your own opinion and will doesnt count... in a democracy. Well it does, if 50 others agree with you. Blah, you get my point.

libertarian socialism/ generalized self-management.

The only thing that blends the social needs realized by socialism with the individual needs.

Personally id suggest studying historical examples of "libertated societies" such as Spain 1936, Paris commune, zapatistas, Pirate utopias, Makhnovist russia etc...

basically there's no altogether agreeable form of government possible unless you keep any given governed populace to under say 250 people.

or... more like ten. ten to twelve people.
