Jan 25 RI. Sage, Gruvis Malt, MC Square, GRAND BUFFET SHOW  Reply with quote

kicking off the "Live, Band, Dead Poet" TOUR

Saturday, January 25, 2003
at LUPOS Heartbreak Hotel (www.lupos.com) in downtown Providence, RI

Sage Francis (backed by a live band for the first time since AOI)

Gruvis Malt (Funk/Jazz/Hiphop Band from RI, who will also be backing up Sage during his set)

GRAND BUFFET (if you attended any of the shows on the Personal Journeys tour then you know the deal. These two crazy motherfuckers could turn a funeral into a party. Infact, I have requested them at my wake.)

CR Avery (Beatbox/harmonica/keyboard playing maniac from Vancouver. Puts a fresh new twist to the classic formula of Bob Dylan and Neil Young.) CR's attendance is tentative. Might not be there. He is from Canada.

MC Squared (beatbox extrodinaire. Currently the 4 time champion of "Live at the Apollo")

You can also expect spoken word perfomances from some of the best poets in the game. I don't give a fuck what you saw on HBO.

$12 at the door
ALL AGES
Doors at 9 PM

Make no mistake, this is going to be a classic event.[/b]

ok... so the inagural show in RI sounds nice as hell. does anyone know if any of these bonuses (spoken word performers, etc.) will be part of the rest of the tour or if its a one time only package?

I heard one of Squared's sets from the Apollo... fucking ridiculous. He makes Rahzel sound like a novice. Sounds like a great show. I'd go if I lived anywhere near RI.

most likely it will be a one time package. But I am trying to get CR Avery to do a couple more shows with us.

and no...video cameras will not be allowed.
