So I got my package today and I just wanted to thank you for the extra stuff. I already got the Bad Religion cd, but I'll pass it over to someone who needs it.

But this thread is mostly about the "The Prickly tree would not comfort the boy" poem sheet/thing. What's it about (not "what is it about?" - more ... give me the background story)? Needless to say, it knocked my socks off. I'll frame it.

Personally, I believe watching Joey Beats fall off of a stage over and over again is a goodie in itself.

Haha, that was funny.

And I apologize English bob for being an e-dick. I'm just a bitter goodie-less man.

My favorites:

"Hi, I'm Joe Beats."
Joey faling of the stage
"Sled! SLED!" (who was Sage riding there?)
The Sage/Sole battle esp. Sole putting the blanket on Sage's face and then "remove the wool from your eyes"
DaVinci's vibrating dance (the whole Dance Monkey montage is hilarious)
The bit inside Kinko's -- "Sir, are you stealing copies?!" Of course not.

Great stuff. I got mine at the show, so no freebies for me. I plan to pick up at least one shirt (possibly a knowmore.org one) and the new discs in a while, so maybe I'll get some bonus stuff then...

Well, the purpose of this thread was not to brag about the freebies, but to ask about the poem...

okay it's a black sheet of paper. in the middle is a pic of a bearded sage holding his arms towards a big cactus. I wish I owned a scanner.

Quote:

The Prickly Tree would not comfort the boy.
"To hold you would be to hurt you," the Tree said.
The Tree secretely hated the boy.

So the overgrown child fell into a deep sorrow...
and he cried...
and cried...
and cried...

like a little bitch.

To stop the big baby from flooding the waterless beach,
The Prickly Tree devised a story to get rid of him.

"Listen Paul... There is a way to escape
the ever evil 9-5, but it's not going to be easy,"
The Prickly Tree explained.
"First, you must confiscate all cigarettes from
your mom. To help her with quitting."
The Tree snickered. But the boy was determined...

Ok, this is random i know, but does anyone else see various phrases throughout peoples posts in bold and double underlined.

For example, in my post up there it has "history of the internet" in bold and double underlined but i didnt do anything special to it. Ive been noticing this for a while in other peoples posts, but i thought i was just out of the loop, like underlining was the new cyan or something

Maybe its just me.
