I liked the Lyricists Lounge show too. I got so hyped seeing Thirstin on MTV, shit was ill. Too bad he still goes unreckognized but that was by far one of the best things MTV ever did.

truth behind that is that "Big Vic" (aka: Thirstin Howl III) was one of the main writers and producers for that show

why else you think Wordsworth & Master Fool were chose as a couple of the main characters?

really? thats crazy, i had no idea.. i wonder why he couldnt use that to bring his music to the forefront? thats ill though, i would think thered be more financial rewards in doing production for mtv as well as credentials and direction but thats pretty amazing. i had no idea he did that.

I knew it! I knew there was more to Thirstin than met the eye! Awesome.

I think the concept of hip hop getting over-commercialized is retarded. It was sold to every single one of us on the open market. We are no more pure than anyone. NEXT there will be a graf movie that inspires toys? When did Style Wars come out? Early 80s, right? Don't everyone be silly.

Rap goes up, rap goes down. It's pop one second, it's hated the next. It doesn't matter. Let the toys come out of the woodwork... how much harder is it to serve thee wack MCs than one? How much harder is it to cross out five lame tags than three? How much harder is it to completely ignore a thousand wack busters than a hundred?

Yawwwwn. Let them have their battles.

This is from the thread about Suge Knight  Reply with quote

"No WAY Eminem is doing a diss song against Suge. Unless his whole fuck the world thing is back...which would be nice."

That's exactly how I feel. That was a cool album and I would listen to it again if he didn't annoy me anymore (I'm sure I'll listen to it again sometime.) Also that Fuck The World attitude was exactly how I was feeling at the time for the past few years.

Now his content just doesn't appeal to me.

they had a mock battle of cast memebers... chris parnell repped the west coast and tracy morgan and some girl repped the east coast.

eww.

yeah that skit was pretty weak. brittney murphys verse was the funniest "yo yo yo.. yo yo.. uh yo".

i have never liked eminem i think he is alright but his little melodramtic face in the previews of 8 mile made me want to puke. I would rather watch Vanilla Ice in "As Cool As Ice" at least you dont have morons saying ice should win a academy award...how can you compare eminem to the likes of Dustin Hoffan...and others... eminem use to make fun of Britney spears and other pop culture icons doesn't anyone find it ironic that he is now the biggest pop culture icon? come on now

How did he change his style, esse?

He's been doing the same shit he always did. If anything, he's gotten MORE mature of late. Have you heard the shit on Rawkus? He didn't change his style to become popular...only thing that changed was exposure.

compare infinite to slim shady ep and tell me he didn't change. though i do agree he has matured some, he's finally going back to his roots for some creativity. yet the eminem show is still tired as fuck.

i've never been a big fan of em anyway, but you want to do quotes?

(off infinite, an good undeground album)
My thesis will smash a stereo to pieces
My acappella releases classic masterpieces through telekinesis
That eases your mentally gently, sentimentally, instrumentally
With an entity, dementelly meant to be Infinity

a decent rhyme.

compared

(off slim shady)
Try 'cid and get fucked up worse that my life is?
My brain's dead weight, I'm tryin to get my head straight
but I can't figure out which Spice Girl I want to impregnate

(off eminem show)
They try to shut me down on MTV
But it feels so empty, without me
So, come on and dip, bum on your lips
Fuck that, cum on your lips, and some on your tits

notice the constant pop culture references

(off marshall mathers)
I sit back with this pack of Zig Zags and this bag
of this weed it gives me the shit needed to be
the most meanest MC on this -- on this Earth

"i'm so angry! smoke weed!"

and your telling me that he got better.
