I like what I see. Any Stinkin' Rich and Sage collab will be brilliant.

just thinking about hearing my two favorite people on the one cd makes me smile. if i had to pick only one to listen to for the rest of my life i'd not be able to choose and i'm not sucking up cause there is no point in that stuff... anyway...... I'm excited Mr. Francis, very excited indeed.

Buck & Sage Francis on DJ Signify's "No More Sleep"

Is that what it's going to be called? Just curious...

Wow.
The idea of you and Buck on seperate tracks makes it all that much better, for me. Not that I dislike all of Buck's music but......I simply can't see how the two of you would mesh very well. Diff. cadences. I was thinking "man, Signify better be prepared for some serious change-ups"

Did you write these verses to the beats or were they written pre-hand?

Regardless, my first addition of sage's lyrics/ramblings to the filing cabinet after the comp. crash.
Yes, the archives are long gone
A treasure trove of the living man's lesson plans.
That or the missing suitcase of incriminating evidence.
Today is a good day......no barking from the dogs, no smog and momma cooked a sage - fest w/ no faults.

They do a molemen track called "follow me", I think you've probably heard Sage's part on it, it worked suprisingly well in my opinion. Not the greatest song. But they meshed better than I thought.

"Follow me" is a nice song, and the buck/sage combo works well in my opinion. It seems like it starts out a bit mellow with buck, then switches gears when sage comes in. Two thumbs up.

Damn, those are some seriously inspired lyrics... Totally fragmented and dream-like, but also very real and emotionally honest. The continuing narrative is really interesting... parts of it reminded me of Next Testament and Cup of Tea, but the total piece has a vibe all its own. Can't wait to hear the vocals and how Signify pushes the production end of things. Is each "act" going to be interspersed between a Buck track? The bar is definitely set pretty high for whatever Buck is going to add to the project.
4 months. hmm, I wonder if we'll see the non-prophets LP before or after that time frame...

I like the lyrics. I cant wait to hear this shit. I was kind of hoping the songs would be of you and Buck together, but this will most certainly do the job.

In all honesty, the rest of the album could consist of "The Macarana," "Thong Song" and whatever else fuckin' terrible song you can think of... and I'd STILL cop it, just based on reading this piece alone. I hope it sounds as dope as it looks. Brilliantly done, Sage.

Like I said, I really don't think reading the words does it much justice. but some of you seem to be better readers than me. heh.

And since you mentioned it, yes...Cup of Tea has something to do with this.

I think by picking out the flow, or one that simply works with the writing, makes a piece of literature that is supposed to flow together well, seem all the better. Being a writer myself, I think I have a decent grasp of how you might be executing this one. Also, when the topic a writer touches on reaches the listener or reader personally, it adds to the entire overall feel for the thing tremendously. Insomniacs represent!
