or is that even something thats possible in the music industry?

Can't speak for him...but don't see why he wouldn't. But then again you never know what he's thinking.
But lets see...get paid more money...you can make the music the way you want to still...don't see anything that would make you turn that down. |

probably because atlantic is really bad, business-wise, when it comes to hip hop albums. |

does anyone here think that making a music video is some sellout shit, and not just adding a visual perspective to the music? |

I have never seen a music video that I thought added signifigent artistic value to the production. I see almost all music videos as sellouts to mtv. I seriously hope sage doesn't fall into that death trap. |

that's not true. I've seen many videos that are artistic and complement the music well. Have you ever seen a Bjork video? There are many good videos amongst MTV's garbage.

I did then, as I often do, overgeneralize. I apologize for it. There may be a few music videos that have true artistic value, but i still would just prefer to listen to the song. |

Sure there are a few well made, artistic music videos out there like Ludacris' Area Codes video, but all in all they're shallow, blatant tributes to the artists themselves. "Not only do you hear me on my tapes, now you get to see me too" yay! I don't mind videos as long as the music artist is never seen. |

Indeed, music videos tend to put too much stress on the attractiveness of the artists, rather then the quality of thier music. |
