This thread is funny.Kids ride nuts too damn much in the underground. I mean you can go to any message board and there is at least one thread like this. Sage is a great emcee but he is not the best. He has the potenial to be one of the best ever but only time will truly tell.

I agree totally.Kids in the underground do not understand the difference between "my favorite" and the "best"

Yes, and this is a problem completely indigenous to "the underground."

Sheesh.

That was my point behind "sheesh."

Actually, it goes for all things: most people work from the assumption that their subjectivity is "Truth."

everyone's different...it depends on taste...i'm a big Sage fan but my favorite emcee is Common..so i'd naturally think he'd be able to hold a "flame" to him...but thats me....but at the same time i like Cormega and Nas who in my opinion could probably do the same(Nas more)...so it depends on taste....yeah Aesop could prolly do it nicely too...have yet to see him live though...havent seen sage either

True.

But I beleive there is something that is common amongst music that is made and performed in an honest, introspective, and creative manner.

I find myself listening and enjoying all types of different styles of music but if you strip down the semantics they are nearly identical at their core.

Considering that the definition of "music" varies from person to person, this is not an absolute truth. The only absolute truth is that there are no absolute truths, and that is not an absolute truth in itself, ya heard me?

Because this sentence begins with "anyway," it is false.
