thgat's the first and last video game system I have ever had.
and it holds a special place in my heart.
But I never understood why they designed it in a way that made it IMPOSSIBLE to get a cartridge SECURE into the slot. It was so fucking faulty. And it resulted in MANY personality disorders. I'm sure of it.
we all had our "tricks" to make the shit work, but damn....even atari was more efficient in that respect. |

I have about 200 1st generation NES games, Sage.
If you weren't so disorganized I'd let you borrow whatever you wanted...haha.
Peace,

The 8-bit NES was the best video game system ever invented, all things considered. I have the Playstation, a Sega Genesis (with the short-lived Sega CD adapter), and a ColecoVision with the Ataria 2600 adapter...but all of them are in my closet except the Nintendo. Check this out.
I have stupid games, but I am always looking to buy more.
Also, a newer version of the 8-bit Nintendo was out a few years back that was top-loading like Atari and the 16-bit Super Nintendo...ending the problem Sage described above. I never got it, though, and I don't know that they still make it. |

I still have a Gemini if anyone wants to buy it. It looks like this...
I cant even remember playing it but my brother used to love it....I was just a wee toddler when we got it.
Im gonna try hooking it up to see if it works. |

Word to Nintendo being the best system ever.
Man I use to try every trick in the book to get my games to work, everything from blowing in them diffrent ways to shoving 2 games in at the same time.
Eventually they came out with the top loader Nintendo, i guess it was designed for the games to work properly 100% NEver tryed it though.
I swear one of my all time favorite games for nintendo was Popeye. Game was classic and there was only like 5 levels played after each other.
word to Kung Fu, Mario's are given, RBI baseball, Contra... to be continued i gotta go to work.
all this talk about 85 and 86 is getting me depressed
peace

Clean your system and games with isopropyl alcohol. I know the games have a warning that tell you not to, but I swear it works every time. If a game is acting up, I swab it with alcohol and I'm good to go. That's one to grow on.
GAMES ON NES THAT YOU CAN'T FRONT ON:
Burgertime
Nintendo Hockey -- with 4-man squads
Double Dribble
Contra
Double Dragon
Zelda, Link, alladay\t
Metroid!
Kid Icarus!
Super Mario 1 and 3 (2 was type lame)
3-D Worldrunner
you could go on and on and on. What about Championship Bowling? The most out-of-place music in a video game ever. |

.
that definetly does the trick...works better than putting the game in, with another game crammed in on top of it, in hopes that it would work,,,haha

Excellent list.
That Hockey game was the dopest...putting together a squad was fun.

Strange you mention this one...I picked it up for 35 cents a month or so ago, and I've been loving it. I don't see what it has to do with McDonald's or Virgin, though.
Think Super Mario Bros 3 meets Mr. Do's! Castle. |
