Dune did kinda suck, although they were some interesting elements to it. There's about a million and one different cuts available for Dune, most of which Lynch took his name off (notably the TV versions) and replaced it with good ol' Allen Smithee.

Same here, and also my girlfriend's. Represent!

Oh I'll represent. For a few years I was calling that flick my favorite of all-time. NoW it's Teenwolf, but that's a whole other story. I have even read the book "Wild At Heart" is based on AND the sequel to it. I KNOW WHAT HAPPEN'S TO SAILOR AND LULA'S KID AND YOU DON'T, HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Yes definitely.

It's a prequel, but I suggest watching the TV show first (or at least some episodes).

Saw that this show was on Netflix and I decided to give it a go based on the forum's many accolades. I'm looking at you, futuristxen. After getting through the pilot I can honestly say that I am seriously enthralled. This show is already so weird and creepy. The fact that it was filmed mostly around Snoqualmie Falls in Washington, a place I've been many times, makes it a little more special to me. I don't know where this show is going just yet, but I'm excited to find out.

Lynch wasn't as involved with the second season as he was away most of the time filming Wild At Heart. He has mentioned that there are a few things he would've never allowed to happen had he been around, such as Cooper in a flannel shirt. He also didn't want to reveal the mystery of who killed Laura Palmer...

On the other hand FWWM is ALL Lynch. It alienated alot of fans of the show.

Its all available on DVD.

Also... Watch the Straight Story!

I actually liked the second season better than the first season. All the black lodge stuff was really fun.

It was weird seeing a bunch of posters in this thread that either went AWOL or earned the ban hammer. Ever since somebody posted the search tutorial you can find anything in this mighty forum.

I was never a big fan of Kyle McLachlan, probably because the first time I saw him in a movie was Showgirls. So far I like his performance in Twin Peaks much more than Blue Velvet, but I think that's just the difference in the roles he played. Really digging the theme song too. It reminds me a little of the Cocteau Twins.

I really hate this Leo douche. Don't ruin it for me please, but I'm really hoping he gets taken down by somebody, preferably Shelly. The weird Horne girl is bugging me, though I suspect the story is much deeper there given the philandering father, the mentally disabled brother, and the weakling mother. And now Agent Cooper has Buddhist deductive techniques? As long as they're not overdone I can abide. The dream was creepy, but strongly reminded me of certain scenes from Mulholland Drive. I'm worried though that this Lynch endeavor is one I think I'm going to enjoy and fully understand until the end, when I realize I'm utterly confused and nothing makes sense.

Twin Peaks is great. I think I like the 2nd season better as well.

The movie is great.

Lost Highway is one of my favorite movies ever.

I'm afraid to watch Dune for reasons stated in the thread. Only major Lynch I haven't seen.

Buffy is my favorite show ever. Check the Season 8 comics. They just wrapped it up with Season 9 looking to be pretty good. Whedon is a criminally looked over artist. Looking forward to his Avengers movie.

I have great taste.
