That's nothing. I've watched Americans beat up foreigners because they weren't from here or they didn't speak English.

And I have to live with the fact that I didn't stop their ignorance and end their fucking insignificant existences.

Trust me, bigotry towards foreigners is not only a French phenomenon.

isn't U.N. Resolution 1441 what gave the United States the right to order Sadaam Hussein to leave his country?

dont judge all french based on parisians. it's not fair.

and i've found that the parisians are always nicer to you if you try speaking in german before english. heh.

Judging France on parisians would be like judging America on New Yorkers. New Yorkers are assholes, and I say that knowing a lot of new yorkers.

Anyway I, and everyone I know personally, has found these French stereotypes totally false. I backpacked through europe when I was 20. I spent most of the time in france and didn't run into any trouble at all. People were very nice, especially in the south. For example, when I got to Aix en provence me and my friend didn't know where the hotel was and a french lady offered to drive us around lookign for it.

The only place I felt people were rude was in Barcelona... and itialian train station workers.
