Naw, that'd just create sympathy for him and they'd through another pawn in his place.

Man, Im dissapointed with this thread.
I was hoping that it could be an intelligent conversation, or brain storm session on how things can change in this country.
Anyone still down for that?

I don't have a lot of faith in a revolutionary movement.

Lots of people in the voting majority need to die before the voting majority will care.

Part of the reason I make music is because I think it will have some sort of impact-- some sort of potentially positive and "revolutionary" impact, but I wonder at the genuine possibility of this.

There's always been violently political art... has it really done anything?

Who knows?

I've pretty much already accepted it as fact that Bush will be re-elected.

I hate life.

Well the art has always been constant, which is what the activists thrive on. The key seems to be moblilizing the middle class, then the lower class can join that, then the upper class will have no choice.

[quote="Stanley K."]By all means Print up your flyer!!!!...
But you might want to say 20 teachers salaries--I don't know
any teacher that will work for 16K a year.

This is more of what the flyers would be like, and these are real figures.

How much is $87 billion? For that amount of money, America could:

Solve the school budget crisis in every one of our communities,
OR
Provide health insurance for every uninsured American child for 15 years,
OR
Provide food for all 6 million of the children who die from hunger around the world for 7 years.

We are fighting all these wars that will solve nothing.
How about the war on starvation?
The war on the lack of education in the US?

These wars would at least bring about some motherfucking results!

Yeah man, billion.
It's ridiculous though, I have to find this flyer, because it shows what could be done with just one of those bombs that the army so often misses with.
I'll find it eventually.

someone asked if we could talk about what to do?

personally i've chosen to back howard dean. supporting someone running against bush is probably the most effective thing to do right now. it's gonna take a lot of steam to beat bush's administration and it'd be real nice to beat them good with a message. bush has too many supporters as many of us believe, so who do you support? anyone? seems like a good starting point to me.

and whoever wins the primaries as a democrat, i'll vote for. unless it's leiberman, but i doubt he'll get anywhere. he should just admit he's republican.

AND VOTE!
