Hang High- Just don't like it hahaha don't know why.

Hey Bobby- The lyrics are dope but I dislike the song. Thought there shoulda definetly been a less playful beat, Not that the beat was bad, it was dope just not fitting of the song at all. And I think the delivery problem I have with that song is because of the beat too I mean it's hard to convey something not playfully over a playful beat. But over another beat this could be crazy.

Have a feeling Machiavel is joking, but my sarcasm meter may not be tuned correctly. It almost always is the beat as opposed to the lyrics as the overwhelming reason I dislike a Sage track. I can't think of a "serious" track where Sage has not come correct with the lyrics. Definitely there are some wack verses on the 'Still Sick...' series, but it's obvious that alhtough many tracks are excellent there is some "throwaway" material (but I'm actually glad this is included so we get an accurate reflection of Sage's development, not just the stuff Sage would like to be remembered by).

And apparently as opposed to a lot of people, I feel "Hey Bobby". The same reason I disliked "Makeshift Patriot" is the same reason I like this: the beat is jumpy and in your face. But admittedly, it starts with a bang but after five minutes the same loop gets monotonous; there could've been some changeup along the way.

hmm.... least favorite is probably next testament or sage kills. A lot of people talk about eye of the tiger, I think it's hilarious.

"Eye of the Tiger" is the Blackstone Valley Anthem.

I agree that for the most part, the reason a Sage song falls flat when it does is because of the beat rather than Sage's lyrics; but I don't think that lets Sage off the hook either. If he releases a song with a wack beat, thats just as much his fault as if he didn't come correct on the lyrics.

Just to make clear my opinion...

anyway, I don't want y'all to think that I think there's something WRONG with Climb Trees...I just don't like it. Lets say the beat just isn't my cup of tea.

How to write a political poem is by Taylor Mali. Not Sage Francis.

"...i've never heard a song where the beat interupts the flow so much."

That is a PERFECT thought for Eviction Notice...

But I HATE Climb Trees for the chorus...not for the beat...The FRIGGIN' chorus..."One of those songs that you sing.." ANNOYING AS PISS...

I hate bang bang boogie for that makeshift beat...HAHAHAHAHA!
