Anyone saw Def Poetry the other night?  Reply with quote

I saw the second episode on Friday and I have to admit that those poets really do have talent.

There was this one particular poet named Black Ice that really captivated my attention. He was speaking about how many rappers in the mainstream exploit their rhyming talents and are slaves toward the whole corporate machine. He pretty much stated the obvious yet did it in a very intriguing and interesting way.

Any of you guys got a chance to see that episode?

You mean that "Dreams Are Illegal in The Ghetto" poem? Yeah, that poem was very insightful too.

At first it started out a little slow but as it progressed it became much more interesting.
