“Be a Star” by Sage Francis, produced by Buck 65 and scrapped from “Human the Death Dance.” This song kind of started as a joke in 2006 and the more I worked on it the more the joke seemed to be going too far and before I knew it I had friends chanting “No, no, no.” That’s partially why it was scrapped from Human the Death Dance, but the main reason is I just couldn’t get it to sound the way that I wanted. After digging it out of the archives and giving it another listen, I’ve realized that I actually like it beyond a joke level. haha. High energy with Run-DMCesque cadences. Perhaps this will get included on the Remixes & Unreleased Songs CD I hope to eventually put out.
